Short version: TCG Study is a research desk, not a broker, an appraiser or an advisor. The numbers here are the market’s, reported as faithfully as the desk can manage and dated so you can judge them. They are not a valuation, not a quote, and not a promise that anything will sell for anything. Using the site means you are reading it on that understanding.

What this isMarket information, and nothing more

Every figure on the desk is drawn from public market records — the TCGplayer daily market-price feed, dated sold listings, and archived price snapshots. The desk’s job is to gather those, date them, and print them without decoration. Where a figure is an estimate rather than a verified print, the page says so in those words.

Nothing on this site is investment advice, financial advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Sealed trading card product is an illiquid collectibles market with wide spreads, thin trade on many items, and prices that can move sharply on a single announcement. A number on this site tells you what the market recently did. It tells you nothing about what it will do next.

AccuracyWhat the desk promises, and what it cannot

The desk promises to source honestly: to print a price only where there is a verifiable source behind it, to date every figure, and to say plainly when tracking on an item is thin or stale rather than filling the gap with a guess.

It cannot promise the numbers are correct. Upstream feeds go down, publish late, or publish wrong. A nightly run can fail and leave a page showing the previous night’s print — which is why every page carries the date of the data it is showing rather than today’s date. Read the date. It is there so that a stale page is obvious instead of invisible.

The site is provided as it is, without any warranty that it is accurate, complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose.

Your accountFree, yours, and deletable in one step

• An account is free and always has been. There is nothing to pay and no card is ever requested.
• Give a real email address you control — it is how you sign in and how a password reset reaches you. An account on an address you cannot receive mail at cannot be recovered.
• Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from a signed-in session is treated as done by you.
• One person, one account. Automated or bulk account creation is not permitted, and the signup route is rate-limited accordingly.
• You can delete your account at any moment from your account page, without asking anyone. It goes immediately and completely; see the privacy page for exactly what that removes.

Fair use of the dataRead it, use it, do not strip it

You are welcome to read the desk, use what you learn for your own buying and selling, and quote a figure with a link back. That is what it is for.

Please do not:

• Scrape the site at a rate that costs it real money to serve, or run automated collection against it in preference to reading it.
• Republish the ledger wholesale, or build a competing product out of a copy of it. The individual prices are the market’s; the compilation, the research notes and the writing are the desk’s work.
• Attempt to reach member data, other people’s accounts, or any part of the system not offered to you.
• Present the desk’s figures as your own appraisal, or use them to represent to somebody else what an item is worth.

Email and notificationsOnly what you asked for

Joining gets you a welcome note and the nightly move list when the market actually moved. Notifications and price alerts arrive only for devices and products you set up yourself. There is no marketing sequence.

Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and turning email off leaves your account and the desk open to you. Push notifications have their own separate switch, because they are a separate decision.

Other people’s namesTrademarks

TCG Study is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokémon Company, Ravensburger, Disney, Wizards of the Coast, Bandai, Square Enix, Riot Games, Konami, Upper Deck, TCGplayer, or any other publisher or marketplace named on this site. Their names and marks belong to them and are used only to say which products a figure refers to.

AvailabilityA free site, run by a small desk

The desk is free, and it comes with no uptime promise. Pages may be unavailable, features may change, and the site may stop being published. Notice will be given where it is reasonably possible, but no guarantee of notice is made.

Access may be withdrawn from an account that is being used to attack the site, harvest it wholesale, or interfere with other members. In practice this means almost nobody; it is here so it can be relied on when it is needed.

LiabilityThe honest limit

To the fullest extent the law allows, TCG Study is not liable for losses arising from your use of the site or reliance on anything printed here — including trading losses, missed opportunities, or decisions made on a figure that turned out to be wrong or out of date.

Nothing here is intended to exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions. Where that applies, the exclusion is limited to what the law allows and the rest of these terms still stands.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that affects what you may do or what the desk promises, the date at the top changes and the change is described rather than quietly rewritten. Continuing to use the site after a change means reading it under the new terms.
